What does size mean

It’s funny how the conception of size changes with time. This is a throw away thought, but it’s interesting. In Elizabethan times, being larger was a sign of wealth. You could afford a range of delicacies compared to your poor counter parts. Today a smaller size and access to fitness training is a size of wealth, you’ve beaten the system of eating mass produced products and gaining weight. Congratulations.

Size is perception, because what’s on the inside does not change. Our emotions don’t change with the fashion trend bending to be cocaine thin or thicc and curvy. So why should we have to change our bodies to fit a mould, a type? A body is not trendy. Your body is your vessel, a vessel which is really special because it looks after you. This collection of cells and elements and particles all mixes and combines and binds together to make up the unique being and creature that is you. How amazing that the mix and DNA resembles you exactly. When you think about it that is one in a million billion trillion chances many times over. That is so bloody cool. Your body does a lot for you; it’s a vehicle to move, a microphone to project, it can dance, smile, acknowledge, show emotion, giggle, laugh, cry. Your body keeps you going.

Therefore size should not matter because you are ace and your body is ace. Anyone that says otherwise is unfortunate not to see everyone is unique and amazing in their own way. You can’t control their actions or words, but you can channel your response to them. You are amazing and size is irrelevant when it comes to self worth. Period.
